I too found a ~1979 Rolex/Tudor autowinding Oysterdate Prince with California dial (it came from right here on the private sales forum). I found an eBay guide about the very topic (predates this thread by more than one year): . I found this practically unworn specimen with box, papers, recent service, and an untouched bracelet with all links on Chrono24 and knew I needed to pull the trigger.
Vintage Panerai watches were not known to have been sent to Kirk Rich Dial for modification to the degree that Rolex and Tudor examples were.
Sporting a Rolex Oyster case, a design so called because of its water-resistant capabilities, the Tudor Oyster is essentially a version of Rolex’s iconic design but with a third-party movement.
